FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INNOVATIVE WEBCASTING TECHNOLOGY BACKED BY TWENTY YEARS OF EVENT MANAGEMENT

Seattle, WA, March 30, 2010 – The Production Network (TPN) (www.tpnevents.com) introduces Dynamic Webcasting™ (DWC), a webcasting tool with new-to-market technologies. TPN leveraged twenty years of hands-on event management experience to build DWC. Out-performing existing webcasts or webinars, DWC creates a more believable, interactive and motivating “virtual live event”.
DWC connects near-limitless audiences across the globe on an internet platform and then engages that audience combining video, PowerPoint and polling in one graphically pleasing package. With the downturn of the economy more and more companies chose webcasts over live events and failed to meet their experience, education and/or branding goals. Many webcast “solutions” offered on the market lack the polished feeling of a live event and moreover fail to reach the brand identity, visual and functional qualities needed to inspire and engage audiences. …continue reading "INNOVATIVE WEBCASTING TECHNOLOGY BACKED BY TWENTY YEARS OF EVENT MANAGEMENT" ›

Facebook, the long road to loyalty and soon…shopping

Two years ago, I hated Facebook. It seemed like everyone I knew LOVED it, why? I hated feeling that my relationships were hanging on by the thread of a post. I hated the lack of intimacy. I hated having another “channel” I had to keep up with. Hated “putting my self out there”. Truth be told, those things still bother me. But Facebook is winning me over. …continue reading "Facebook, the long road to loyalty and soon…shopping" ›

If We Ran the World

“You are what you do”…a wonderful, thought provoking and totally intimidating truth. Now suppress regrets and think of it this way – “you are what you do – from this day forward”…then we can move on with this blog effectively…

Answer the question – “If you ran the world, what would you do?”

Walk yourself through an action plan and then you may find yourself asking the inevitable – how do I pay for this?

Marketing veteran Cindy Gallop and software developer Wendell Davis’ take you a long way to answer with the creation of If We Ran the World  http://ifwerantheworld.com/.

Described as a crowd sourcing project to better the world, If We Ran the World, has the ability to match corporations and causes. After years crafting Sponsorship packages “the old fashioned way” – well this makes me really really wish I’d thought of it first! …continue reading "If We Ran the World" ›

Location, location, location – in real estate and now in social media.

From Blaise Aguera y Arcas, Bing Maps Architect at Microsoft to Dennis Crowley and Naveen Selvadurai, Founders of Foursquare – innovators are beginning to capitalize on people’s desire for sense of place (in addition to their growing expectation for information) – now through a digital lens.

Remember when Google Earth was jaw dropping (and still is when you show your 89 year old Nonna)? And when searching with Bing became the new thing? According to information I snagged from Bing’s toolbox, there is more way-finding experience being released today… “We were proud of the initial release of Bing, but realized that it’s only a small down payment on a much longer-term effort… When we looked at what people were doing with search, we saw that people are increasingly trying to use ‘virtual’ systems to get things done in the ‘physical’ world… At Bing, we dug into this disconnect between search in the virtual space (today’s standard keyword search) and search in the physical space that folks are literally doing every day. We ended up developing something we’re introducing today: a new mapping experience that enables you to elegantly augment the things you’re already doing offline in your real life with an online experience.  We like to call this “spatial search”.”

Features include new Streetside imagery, Application Gallery & Photosynths. Read about each of these features here http://www.bing.com/toolbox/blogs/search/archive/2009/12/02/bing-maps-connecting-people-places-and-things.aspx

Another mapping-mash craze that’s already a huge success, Foursquare.

Video Chat is Where It’s At

Dynamic Webcasting transforms events

WooMe makes dating a breeze

A Cisco research report that came out last summer estimated “video communications will increase ten fold from 2008-2013. And so far, their predictions are real – which has Marketers brushing up on the ‘humanizing’ side of their brands. While the implications for advertising are immense, to me, the more interesting story is how new video technologies are changing market research. …continue reading "Video Chat is Where It’s At" ›

bollywood goes bubbly

One of social media’s newest apps is called Bubbly, rolling out in India, Japan and Brazil and boasting about 100 million users. Gaining around 500,000 users in 4 weeks after some of India’s biggest Bollywood stars began using it, this service is said to work like Twitter, except users send audio messages instead of texts.

One of the arguments of whether or not this will be successful is if people find it easier to text or to listen. There are comments in the link supporting both sides, but my first reaction after reading the article was not that I’d prefer to text or talk, but how in the world I’d keep up with yet another social network, should Bubbly make its way to the U.S.! Keeping up with the main 3 (blogging, Twitter, Facebook) that most companies participate in takes enough time. Add to that that Bubbly requires the user to pay to listen to the sent audio message, and I don’t see it being a successful long term media channel, but a short fad that people may try a few times.

TPN Gallery Walls hosts the neighborhood

Full hallway at TPN Gallery Walls reception

TPN’s spring artist reception had its largest turnout  in its ten year history this week. Featuring the work of five local, diverse artists, the hallways were full and the art was selling. The art included the work of Jeremy Mangan, Renate Ruby, Lee Berry, Tia Matthies and Kiki MacInnis.

The TPN Gallery Walls reception is a community event, open to the public, and gives us a chance to show our “softer” side and give back to the neighborhood. Solid Ground, a local charity, was on hand as well to collect donations of non-perishable items or monetary contributions. www.solid-ground.org

We’d love for you to join us next time! Email Megan West at meganma {at} tpnevents(.)com to be added to our mailing list.
