TPN would not be the same without Mikey Herr, relying on him as we do for so many things! Serving as Head Custodian for the past seven years, his constant smile is a great start to every day. One of the first to arrive every morning, Mikey keeps the rest of us churning, brewing the first pots of coffee. I thank Mikey every morning when I fill my coffee cup. He keeps us all lighthearted with his never ending supply of jokes and props to match.
Do you know Mikey’s birthday? Well he knows yours! He has an uncanny ability to remember numbers, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. and knows the birthday of every TPNer and lots of ex-TPNers. Mikey is the youngest of seven children, all of them living in WA. He has a cat for a roommate, Wanda Mae and in his spare time he likes to play basketball.
Mikey is a fan of comedies, listing his favorite movies as Stripes, Caddyshack and Good Morning Vietnam; he owns all three. Typical albums in Mikey’s CD player as he works around TPN are Three Dog Night, Bob Segar, Paul McCartney & Wings and The Beatles. If Mikey could hold any occupation he’d be a disc jockey; not surprising since he’s always got the headphones on.
Highlights for Mikey:
“Putting my Styrofoam head on the end of my broom so I can keep ahead of my sweeping. I also wrote the word ‘custodian’ on the top of the head. I hope people think that my job title has gone to my head.”
