don’t care how – i want it now!

All hail the rise of the spoiled child. “Nowism” defined as “a lifestyle, as well as a way of life”, is spreading its way through demographics faster than the Zu Zu Pets craze came and went. Gen Y was considered to be the stake holder in nowism behavior but the steady adoption of on-demand technologies by Gen-Xers and  Baby-Boomers is quickly sprouting a whole new crop of immediate gratification consumers. Why wait when there is instant gratification, information, relaxation, play, conversation…you get the point. Is this a good thing for XM? Progressive XM agencies look at it like a truth, and dare to meet customers when they want. …continue reading “don’t care how – i want it now!” ›

Bring people joy…

The theme of the day…month…year….okay the entire recession….BRING PEOPLE JOY.

We, the people, are hungry for joy. We, not want, but need a rest from the stress. In addition to our colleague who sends us hands-down the funniest emails of all time but are too racy to post here (you know who you are), we want to acknowledge  ”OK Go”  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHlJODYBLKs&feature=list_related&a=GxdCwVVULXelTEF2UsYucJ62m-7RKKbL&list=ML&playnext=1

With over 6 million viewed and growing…we’re saying …um…okay…go. We don’t love your music, but you sure did make us smile.

Is it a stretch to plug the company now? But really, we have been bringing people together and putting smiles on people’s faces for 21 years. …continue reading “Bring people joy…” ›

30 minutes prior to opening

For the third year in a row, TPN produced Xbox’s presence at the craziness that is Comic Con.  This year, in addition to the booth, TPN helped with four offsite parties, on three different days, at three separate hotels.  You haven’t lived until you’ve crossed train tracks carrying 75lbs of posters in a mob of 5,000 people. …continue reading “” ›

First Flight Wins PRSA Anvil Award

Woop – woop! We won! Last night, in the city that never sleeps, John Vadino shared the glory with Boeing’s BCA Communications team, in accepting the PRSA Silver Anvil award for the 787 First Flight, events category.

TPN was a key producer in the planning of this award-winning event. Most noteably was our delivery of the First Flight webcast – which is available on-demand here: http://787firstflight.newairplane.com/ffindex.html

“There was literally a team of hundreds of volunteers who created a memorable event worthy of the 787 Dreamliner. It was an honor to have led the team that planned and delivered this event. Those who attended first flight in person or watched it on the web will never forget the rush of emotion when that airplane left the ground and became airborne. It was a great moment for Boeing, for our customer, our partners and employees – for our entire industry.” ~ Yvonne Leach of 787 Program Communications

First Flight Facts: More than 1 million viewers watched the live webcast of take off and landing. Tens of thousands of people attended the takeoff in person. This was the first BCA first flight that included a hosted webcast. Planning for the event started more than a year in advance.

Silver Anvil Facts: The Silver Anvil Awards are presented annually to organizations that have successfully addressed contemporary issues with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. Entries are evaluated for their strategic nature of public relations programs using four key components — research, planning, execution and evaluation. This year, 126 finalists were selected from a record 893 entries. The Silver Anvils and Silver Anvil Awards of Excellence are presented, as well as the Best of Silver Anvil and Public Relations Professional of the Year.

its bike to work day, thanks to F5

F5 Headquarters

The rain held off and the thunder ceased for Bike to Work Day 2010! TPN is proud to support it’s client F5 as the primary sponsor for this year’s Bike to Work Day. The day kicked off this morning at 7:30 with a bike rally at City Hall, and bikers were also welcomed at 44 commute stations around the city between 6 and 9 am to get free bike checkups and gather free giveaways.

The event ends today with a street party at 4pm in downtown Ballard. Come join your fellow bikers and celebrate Seattle’s reputation as #4 on Forbes’ and Bicycling Magazine’s lists of Best Bicycling Cities. And thanks to F5 for supporting this important day! See the press release below.
