JCB Bauma

After 10 months of planning, The Production Network traveled to Munich, Germany to establish JCB’s world-class presence at Bauma. This mega construction industry show draws upwards of 500,000 attendees in six days.

TPN designed and managed the entire JCB stand which included a building featuring a 3-story atrium entrance, retail store, two restaurants, multiple meeting rooms, as well as a VIP lounge and viewing balcony on the top floor.

Bringing a stand of this size to life required 5 weeks of installation and a team of 20+ workers to transform a bare parking lot into a show place that was built to last. TPN used its network of resources to bring together experts and trades people from the US, UK, Germany, and the Netherlands.

TPN designed this performance arena into the stand for JCB’s “Dancing Diggers”. Each hour these backhoes perform an amazing synchronized ballet of sorts, showing off the versatility and strength of the JCB machines to enthusiastic audiences numbering in the thousands.

The welcome desk was the starting place to check in and navigate the many floors of the JCB stand. The graceful, curving staircases beckoned invited guests to explore the upstairs lounge and restaurants.

The VIP lounge, complete with private viewing balcony, was the perfect spot to take a break from the hectic pace of the show and take in the sea of exhibits at Bauma. The two restaurants in the stand served nearly 1000 meals per day for six days. The cuisine and ambiance varied from formally served meals upstairs to café style, casual fare downstairs. The retail environment buzzed on show days, with attendees buying quality JCB merchandise in a well planned space, accessed from this entrance in the lobby or at the exterior of the building. The expansive stand was finished with custom decking and high-quality pebble to keep the level of detail high and to keep the guests elevated above any water that might pool in poor weather.
