JCB ConExpo 2005

For the third ConExpo in a row, JCB chose TPN to design and construct their display and corral for the renowned “Dancing Diggers” – A must see choreographed ballet featuring 8-ton JCB backhoe loaders.

In 23 days, TPN transformed a 45,000 sf section of the Convention Center parking lot to support this 3-story, 20,000 sf structure. JCB ConExpo time-lapse construction. Although designed to be temporary, it was built to withstand the outdoor elements for at least 10 years. The building was designed to combat the desert heat of Las Vegas. The interior reception area sparkled with only the best hand polished finishes. A custom designed curved staircase beckoned guests to explore the upper floors. The third floor lounge was a comfortable respite for customers after a long day at ConExpo. Customer information counters were strategically located throughout the display area. Each day JCB served 3 meals for 150 guests in the 2nd floor dining area. A 750 sf kitchen and catering prep area provided for seamless service.

TPN constructed a wrap-around deck measuring over 4550 sf. Additional observation decks were available on the 2nd and 3rd floors for an unobstructed view of the massive JCB display. Never before seen in a structure of this kind, a tunnel was constructed to link the front and back of the building.
