Philips Arena in Atlanta posed some unique challenges for the production team. The building is not symmetrical, and the one of the long sides of the arena has a tremendous amount of glass as it is all suites. This causes endless audio issues to overcome. So, the room was set in landscape fashion, but then there was little backstage space to reveal demos, or the “house band. The solution? Build a turntable into the stage and place an LED wall on top. The LED wall created a great camera backdrop when a presenter was on stage, and then when the house band was to play, the turn table rotated to reveal them. This created very simple, yet seamless transition.
