Weyerhaeuser Centennial Exhibit
TPN helped Weyerhaeuser celebrate 100 years in business by creating a 53-foot museum on wheels. The exhibit features a series of tactile displays and hands-on exhibits that educated visitors of all ages about Weyerhaeuser’s century of progress and its plans for the future.
The museum was installed in a tractor-trailer and was designed to be set up in under one hour. The easy set-up saved valuable staff hours and set-up time at each of hundreds of stops across North America.
TPN synthesized seven diverse lines of business into one cohesive story, selecting information from hundreds of thousands of archival photos, histories and artifacts. A spacious, linear design and progressive storyline approach helped to manage the flow of attendees.
Attendees moved through distinct forest and manufacturing zones, where exhibit elements included tactile forest product samples, video interactive kiosks, and a children’s zone geared specifically for kids of all ages. TPN carefully studied and integrated the most current learning practices into each children’s exhibit design.
TPN worked with partners Caribiner International and Turner Exhibits to engineer and fabricate durable and fun interactives.
