Weyerhaeuser Centennial Exhibit

TPN helped Weyerhaeuser celebrate 100 years in business by creating a 53-foot museum on wheels. The exhibit features a series of tactile displays and hands-on exhibits that educate visitors of all ages about Weyerhaeuser’s century of progress and its plans for the future.

The 600 square-foot mobile museum was installed in a tractor-trailer and was designed to be set up in under one hour. The easy set-up saved valuable staff hours and set-up time at each of hundreds of stops across North America.

TPN synthesized seven diverse lines of business into one cohesive story, selecting information from hundreds of thousands of archival photos, histories and artifacts. A spacious, linear design and prog- ressive storyline approach helped to manage the flow of attendees.

Attendees move through distinct forest and manufacturing zones, where exhibit elements include tactile forest product samples, video interactive kiosks, and a children’s zone geared specifically for kids of all ages. TPN carefully studies then integrates the most current learning practices into each children’s exhibit design.

Behind every TPN exhibit there is a team of skilled engineers, designers, and communications experts. TPN worked with partners Caribiner International and Turner Exhibits to engineer and fabricate durable, fun interactives.

This award-winning exhibit’s run was booked nearly every day of its two-year US and Canadian tour, and has recently been refurbished and re-launched for another tour of service.
